With a few players out due to colds etc. Mosborough put up a very spirited performance that I was proud of.
Some good tackling early on saw mosborough camped in their own 22 for the first 5 mins before the game became a bit more loose and two tries were scored in fairly quick succession. One from matt and one through Ben I think?
A few set pieces ensued before a looping run from Freddie had the try line at his mercy. Unluckily the ball was just knocked on before grounding otherwise it would have been a certain try, Wortley scored at the final whistle to put the cap on a game where the scoreline slightly flattered the opposition but a good result none the less.
Game 2 saw a good performance but ultimately a loss. Mosborough were down to 9 men but still fronted up against a physical Wheatley Hills team. Some good tackling and rucking nullified the size difference for a while but Mosborough were always up against it and ultimately came up just short!
