Under 13's vs Dronfield (Away)

It's Sunday the 23rd September, the first match of the season for Mosborough under 13's away at Dronfield. The sun is shining but a bit windy!!

Mosborough's captain this morning was Finley Seaman, he was being very vocal as he seems to be now. Mosborough kicked off with Ben. Some good early tackles were made but unfortunately Mosborough went behind.

After that Mosborough put a great move together and the ball went out to Matt who got the ball and kept running, He got to the try line and there it was the first try of the season. Scoreline was 5 -5. Dronfield ran in a couple more tries making the score line 15 - 5. The captain was rallying the players making sure their heads didn't drop.

Dronfield's number 19 was the main threat for the opposition and they ran in a few more tries, this didn't dishearten the Mosborough lads though. They kept on trying and eventually the hard work paid off James got the ball and scrambled over the line for their second try of the day.

The Mosborough lads picked up quite a few knocks today, with injuries to Finlay, Warren and Jack. We even had Will last ditch tackling and losing a tooth for the cause. All got back up and played on and showed their spirit.

The score line now was 50 - 10. Dronfield were kicking off after scoring a try, the ball went to Jack to went on a run straight through the Dronfield defence splitting it in two, he kept on running and there it was the third try of the day for the away team.

Dronfield scored a couple more late tries, making the final scoreline 65 - 15. This flattered the home team as the effort that went into the Mosborough team was unquestionable. Well done to the Mosborough lads.... onwards and upwards from here!!

Man of the Match

Man of the match went to Finlay Wales-Patrick who had put in a very good display.
