Mosborough RUFC

It was a gloomy, rainy Sunday morning. Playing away at Dronfield . The U10 boys turned up raring to go.

They started with a quick warm up practicing their passing but were eager to start the match.

Both teams had 7 players each . Mosborough realised there was some rather large boys on the opposing team so had a team talk about going for the legs to bring them down.

The game kicked off at 10.30 with both teams looking organised and ready for a good game, despite the rain. They were playing 4 10minute intervals. 
* Dronfield started but were soon took down by Charlie and Ethan with Lewis securing the ball and scoring a try.
      Dronfield soon equalised with a try
* Lewis was taken down hard by Dronfield but got back up and with the help of Charlie helped Ethan to score a try
* Dronfield started there was a great snatch from Logan, winning Mosborough the ball.
* Great passing from Hanlo to Ben resulted in a great try from Logan .
* Great tackling from Logan and Charlie resulted in Mosborough securing the ball.
* Great pass from Dylan to Charlie
* Charlie made another great tackle
* Ethan did A great tackle securing the ball which lead to a scrum
* A high tackle on Charlie lead to Mosborough ball and pushing forward leading to Charlie scoring.
* Great tackle from hanlo and Logan, and Dronfield lost the ball forward.
* Great running from Ben which lead to a fantastic pass to Charlie leading to another try.
After a quick team talk and drink the boys were ready for the next 10 minutes.

* A forward ball from Mosborough lead to Dronfield scrum.
* Fantastic tackle from Logan
* Mosborough applies great pressure , it’s now Mosborough’s ball
* Some great tackling and snatches
* Dronfield got the ball, great tackle from Ethan then Charlie.
* Dronfield pushed through and scored a try.
* Ben was quick applying pressure to Dronfield.
* An injury to a Dronfield player resulted in Logan going over to their team
* Dylan scores a fantastic try with a great run into open space, there was no catching him
* Hanlo Charlie and Ethan did a fantastic takedown of the largest player securing the ball for Mosborough
* Charlie had a fantastic run . But a tackle from Dronfield lead to a stop and Mosbrough ball to start again.
* Ben got a good ball with support from Lewis.
* Dylan did some great passing and running. His speed makes it difficult for Dronfield.
* Dronfield ball lead to a ruck which both teams did fantastic
* Dronfield went for a run which was stopped by Charlie, Hanlo .
* Great rucking from Hanlo lead to a pass and a great try by Ethan .


Both teams were back with Ben been the sub for Dronfield.


* Dronfield to start.  Mosborough had a great line but unfortunately Dronfield broke through and scored a try.
* Great tackle from Ethan and all the boys, with Logan snatching the ball. Some great passing along the line .
* the boys from Dronfield tried their best to take Charlie down but he pushed through and scored a try.
* Great team work.
* Some great tackling from Hanlo, Charlie and Lewis.
* Mosborough defence was strong with Clayton standing his ground.
* Dronfield try was not allowed as the player didn’t ground the ball when he was tackled
* A drop forward from Dronfield lead to a Mosborough ball, a Mosborough scrum.
* A great scrum from Clayton, Logan and Hanlo.
* Great rucking from Logan . And support from Hanlo
* Lewis was tackled and pushed out by Dronfield
* Dronfield started but were stopped in there tracks. With great tackling and rucking with Hanlo, Logan , Ben , Charlie and Clayton. This enabled Charlie to score a try.
* Open space and skipping in and out of 3 players, Ethan managed to score another try.


It’s the last 10 minutes and Mosborough to start.

* a quick pass from Dylan lead to a great run from Ben. Logan’s fantastic at securing the ball in the ruck lead to another try from Ethan
* Dronfield soon returned with another try.
* A quick pass from Charlie and great run from Ethan lead to another try.
* Dronfield start with a great rip from Logan lead to it been Mosborough ball.
* The line was strong with Logan been pushed out by Dronfield.
* Dronfields ball stopped by Charlie pushing them out.
* Mosborough ball with a quick run from Ben; a bad shoulder barge lead to Mosborough keeping the ball.
* Dronfield managed to get the ball however they were pushed out by Logan.
* Mosborough ball with a great run from all the boys. All supporting each other as a TEAM
* Dronfield scores a try.
* After pushing Ethan out Dronfield secures the ball and scores another try. This doesn’t dampen the boys spirits, and they are all quick back in line.
* Mosborough ball and a quick run into open space from Dylan secures another try for Mosborough.
* All the boys played fantastic as a team, with many great passes, tackles, runs and a lot of courage.


Star of the week was a tough one this week as each player deserved it with how well each one played, but it was decided it would be Charlie . Well done. Also Dronfield picked Ethan as man of the match . Well done boys you all played your part and came together as a team.
