Mosborough RUFC

Mosborough were off to a cracking start within minutes the ball was in the hands of Rodine and straight over the try line and after some fumbling around for the tee the kick was straight through the posts 0/7

Dinnington came back fighting after some strong hard tackles but the kick just missed 5/7

A good kick from Conor sends the ball well into the Dinnington half and the boys chased after it well. Dinnington win it back but are stopped in their tracks with great tackles from Joel and Reuben but they smash through for a try with a great conversion to make the score 10/7

Not for long though with Mosborough boys all fired up the ball is passed down to Joel who flies down the wing to score a try but the conversion didn’t quite make it through 10/12

Ciaran gets the ball and makes a fantastic run with it well into Dinnington territory but Dinnington caught him, however, the ball is still with Mosborough and into the waiting hands of Joel who very gentleman like pops it over the try line. Rodine takes the kick and it’s over 10/19

With the ball back in play Dinnington are ready for battle, fantastic play, some excellent passes and tackling on the field Dinnington are through with a great try and conversion 17/19

The ball is up and down the field this is an excellent game some outstanding defending by the Mosborough boys to prevent another Dinnington try but a high tackle on the Dinnington lad gave them a Penalty try taking the score to 24/19

Some more magnificent play by both teams ensues and Dinnington score again but narrowly miss the conversion 29/19

Half time and newly appointed water boy Addi runs on to hydrate his team mates, after a team chat with Tim and JJ heads are up and we’re back in play

Dinnington have the ball and are running down the wing he’s a tall lad and Reuben has to jump to grab round his waist but it’s a cracking tackle that brings him down the ball is out and Sam R and James pull out some superb tackles

There’s a scrum down the ball is out and Jack makes a sterling, long, smooth pass to Conor who takes a brilliant kick high in the air, an amazing catch from Rodine who tries to make a run for it before being pounded to the ground by Dinnington. In comes Josh to pound them back with an almighty thud but Dinnington are back up and make run to win the try and conversion 36/19

Another great high kick caught by Joel and he’s off for the try Rodine takes the conversion to make the score 36/26

The balls being passed Kian catches it moves forward.....not sure what happened next as JJ was stood right in front of me for change!!! But whatever it was I heard good counter ruck Conor...

Good off load to Rodine who runs off for the try and conversion the kick was that solid it almost went through the posts on the other pitch 🏉 36/33

Excellent tackles from Josh, Bailey, Sam R, Alfie and Sam V. Good pick up from Sam V passing it back out Dinnington get it though but Ciaran chases him down grabs hold and brings him down but it’s still with Dinnington who make it for the try followed by the conversion bringing the final score to 43/33

An absolutely splendid performance from Mosborough.....that was an exciting, fast paced game of Rugby massive well done 👍🏼
